Constitution was formed to reflect the Laws of Nature and of Natures God. That is why the image of the Ten Commandments is considered the symbol of laws. The constitutions of the states are modeled after the U.S. Constitution. 2. Comment: In Texas, Art. 1 of the Bill of Rights defines marriage as consisting only of the union of one man and one woman. Because it is possible that an issue may come before the Court of Appeals regarding same sex marriage, relationships or partnerships, I am prohibited from discussing my personal beliefs on this issue pursuant to the Texas Code of Judicial Conduct.
